Bio
Born a child of two actors, Nick grew up in rural Missouri with his brother and an overactive imagination.  He’s always wanted to make movies.  In high school, the closest thing he could get to making movies was theatre, so he performed forensics, plays, and musicals.  His favorite experience on stage was playing Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof.

He attended Missouri State University (formerly Southwest Missouri State University) in Springfield, where he studied Media, Journalism, and Film.  There, he wrote news copy at the local National Public Radio station KSMU, penned movie reviews for The Standard, the college newspaper.  He also had his own radio show titled “Weapons of Mass Distraction” on the Growl.  It was in Missouri he got his first job working in film, serving as a Production Assistant on Larva, a Sci-Fi Channel film shooting in Springfield.

He moved to California, attending Chapman University’s prestigious film school where he studied directing under mentors John Badham (Saturday Night Fever, War Games) and Gil Bettman (Knight Rider).  While at Chapman, he interned for Transformers producer Don Murphy (Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Real Steel, Natural Born Killers).

His thesis,  Last Call, a surrealistic drama, is playing all over the world, showing in Australia, Italy, Canada, and beyond.  It won the Silver Remi Award at Houston Worldfest, Special Jury Prize at Queersicht, and Best Student film at Honolulu Film Festival... and continues to make film festival rounds.  His award-winning sci-fi short Lonely Man has also played internationally.

His work as a First Assistant Director took him to the jungles and beaches of Hawaii.  He lead the crew of  Stones, an award-winning film based on an ancient Hawaiian legend.

He lives in Los Angeles and works in Television.
